Argus® II eye Retinal Prosthesis coming to the market.

As interest increases more and more in human health and capabilities, Second Sight, revealed the mission about human sight!

Second Sight’s mission is to develop, manufacture and market implantable visual prosthetics to enable blind individuals to achieve greater independence. We can say that the mission is complete after their new innovative optical system.

Its called Argus II. Its a complete optical system for people who have blindness.

Well it seems like a practical device where the patient simply wears it and can recover his vision back.

However, a surgery is needed to make this device work properly.

Doctors need to implant to the patient a micro chip to the retinal area of the eye in order for the device to work correcty.

The wireless chip receives the optic data of the device and decodes that data in electrode pulses, where the brain can easily understand.

The result? Of course vision restoration!

As previously we had innovations like, Bebionic myoelectric hand , Ampfoot leg prosthetics , and recover from mobility issues, now the time has come to overcome our vision problems too!

As vision is one of the most important human senses, with that device, many people with blindness will again have the ability to see!

Here is some footage of the upcoming device!

The device was just approved by the FDA for sale so now its up to the public acceptance.
