Everyone is wondering how the PlayStation 4 will look like and what new
great capabilities will have to share with the gamers. Well there is
some footage available.
A Sony media event scheduled for Feb. 20 in New York City which has gamers
frothing over the prospect of a PlayStation 4 (code-named Orbis) reveal. Sony isn’t going
out of its way to dampen that speculation. So we will find out officially soon...
However some pics around the internet revealed this!
This is supposed to be the new PlayStation 4 controller. It is surely keeping the classic styling of the handle bars and button locations but also has that cool glowing surface between the RL 1/2 buttons.(is it for styling or for special funtions ? who knows...)
It looks a bit more round curved though and a bit widened too. Probably we hope for better handle feeling.
Gamers who ever found themselves in situations with games that need extreme button tapping will know for sure how important game pad handling is.
However, there are no accurate console photos yet available.
Also some spec assumption:
The current specs for a PS4 development kit proves that the new PlayStation 4 will probably feature:
- System Memory: 8GB
- Video Memory: 2.2 GB
- CPU: 4x Dual-Core AMD64 "Bulldozer" (so, 8x cores)
- GPU: AMD R10xx
- Ports: 4x USB 3.0, 2x Ethernet
- Drive: Blu-Ray
- HDD: 160GB
- Audio Output: HDMI & Optical, 2.0, 5.1 & 7.1 channels
Since PlayStation 4 is a more integrated platform, each gamer will have an account, based on the new PS4 multi user account sytem.
This means that the PS4 will let more than one person be logged into the same system at the same time.Also It will feature linking control pads to user accounts. Each new controller will sync with the system, that player's account can be logged in as well. So each gamer will no need to sign in by typing user name and passwords. It will be controller based. (Like yubikey. hardware based acces).
But words are just words. We will expect find more when 20th Of February comes.
