screen, you can see more, share more, and do more with Surface." as a main Advertising slogan, Microsoft's new device is almost here to turn upside down the tablet market.
We talk about the upcoming Microsoft Surface! The new tablet-like device will be available in two versions, Surface with Windows RT and Surface with Windows 8 Pro. Looking at the outfit those might look alike but they have many differences, in fact they only share same design and a 10.6" ClearType Display. So lets see the specifications:
Surface with Windows RT
- 10.6", widescreen (16:9), 1366x768 , ClearType HD Display, with 5-point multi-touch
- NVIDIA T30 CPU with 2GB RAM
- 32 or 64GB storage
- Two 720p HD LifeCams, front and rear-facing
- Two microphones and Stereo speakers
- Windows RT as Operating system
Surface with Windows 8 Pro
- 10.6", widescreen (16:9), 1920x1080, ClearType Full HD Display, with 10-point multi-touch
- 3rd Gen Intel Core i5 Processor with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 4GB Dual Channel RAM
- 64GB or 128GB storage
- Two 720p HD LifeCams, front and rear-facing with TruColor
- Microphone and Stereo speakers
- Windows 8 Pro
Today Microsoft officially opened pre-orders and offered a "Making of" video about the creation of the Windows RT-based device.
The Surface RT will go on sale on October 26th with prices start at $499 and the Windows 8 version will follow a couple of months after that date.
