Microsoft Surface

"From touch to type, office to living room, from your screen to the big screen, you can see more, share more, and do more with Surface." as a main Advertising slogan, Microsoft's new device is almost here to turn upside down the tablet market.



We talk about the upcoming Microsoft Surface! The new tablet-like device will be available in two versions, Surface with Windows RT and Surface with Windows 8 Pro. Looking at the outfit those might look alike but they have many differences, in fact they only share same design and a 10.6" ClearType Display. So lets see the specifications:

Surface with Windows RT
  1. 10.6", widescreen (16:9), 1366x768 , ClearType HD Display, with 5-point multi-touch
  2. NVIDIA T30 CPU with 2GB RAM
  3. 32 or 64GB storage
  4. Two 720p HD LifeCams, front and rear-facing 
  5. Two microphones and Stereo speakers
  6. Windows RT as Operating system
Surface with Windows 8 Pro
  1. 10.6", widescreen (16:9), 1920x1080, ClearType Full HD Display, with 10-point multi-touch
  2. 3rd Gen Intel Core i5 Processor with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 4GB Dual Channel RAM
  3. 64GB or 128GB storage
  4. Two 720p HD LifeCams, front and rear-facing with TruColor
  5. Microphone and Stereo speakers
  6. Windows 8 Pro
Today Microsoft officially opened pre-orders and offered a "Making of" video about the creation of the Windows RT-based device.


The Surface RT will go on sale on October 26th with prices start at $499 and the Windows 8 version will follow a couple of months after that date.
