Intel's Atom processors to get Android 4.1 support

According to a report from PCWorld,  Intel is currently porting Android 4.1, code-named Jelly Bean, to its Atom line of CPUs. So far very few Android smartphones have intel chips inside, and none of the are being sold in the US. Intel did not mention how long the porting process will take, nor when the Jelly Bean update will be released to Atom-based devices.

While Intel still is number one in the desktop and notebook processor business, the mobile sector, including the tablet and smartphone industry, is dominated by companies that have chips based on ARM. At CES 2012, Intel announced that both Motorola and Lenovo would release smartphones with Intel's Atom chip inside.
