Over 6 Billion Cell Phone Subscribers on Earth

With over 7 billion people living on this planet, everyone can understand that the number of the cell phone subscribers may be huge too. So, according to the International Telecommunication Union, there are over 6 billion cell phone subscribers on Earth.

This means that approximately 86% of the people own at least one cell phone, and this number is increasing day by day.

One billion cell phone users are only in China, with India approaching fast to this number too. At this point its worth mentioning that over 1 billion people around the world had mobile internet connection by end of 2011, and as the union said this number grew by 11 percent over the past year, ie almost 2,4 billion.
