Leaked SDK shows new features of IE10 in WP8

Yesterday we reported on the leak of the SDK for Windows Phone, and that people have been digging into it to find what can be expected when Windows Phone 8 officially launches later this year.

Last month, Microsoft revealed some interesting features that we can expect in Internet Explorer 10 for Windows Phone 8. IE10 Mobile will have the same rendering engine as the desktop version and will include SmartScreen Filter support.

Now, MobileTechWorld have dug into the new UI of IE10 revealing some new information and features:
  • Allows for a customized address bar button.
  • The Microsoft Data Sense service can act as a proxy to reduce data usage.
  • It's also possibile to block cookies from specific websites and apps.

Microsoft hasn't announced an official release date for Windows Phone 8, but it's likely it will come out sometime in Autumn, between October and November, when both Windows 8 and Office 2013 will become available to the public.
