HTC officially confirms Jelly Bean update for One X, One XL and One S

HTC has officially confirmed that the the One X, One XL and One S will all receive a software update that will bring them up to the latest version of the Android OS, version 4.1, code named Jelly Bean.


In a statement HTC send to Engadget, HTC officially announced their Jelly Bean upgrade plans for those three models: "We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean."

Engadget also claims that the US wireless carriers AT&T and T-Mobile, and the Canadian carrier Rogers, will provide the Jelly Bean updates to customers who own these smartphone models. There is no information on when those software updates will actually happen.
