Asus introduces the first PC monitor with a 144 Hz refresh rate

Asus has just introduced the VG278HE, the company’s new 3D monitor that boosts a refresh rate above what the competition is offering at the moment. The VG278HE features a 144 Hz refresh rate, unlike the traditional 120 Hz available on the rest of the 3D monitors on the market.

The VG278HE monitor is based on a 27” TN panel with a Full HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution. The display also boasts a 2 ms response time, HDMI, dual-link DVI-D and a VGA port. Also integrated are two stereo speakers (2x3 RMS). Nvidia's 3D Vision 2 technology is supported as well for use with compatible GPUs and video games. Asus has yet to give any information on price or availability.
