Red Hat Fedora 18 available for download and test.

Red hat announced that the beta version for Fedora 18, is now available to the public.










New features are :
  • The brand-new Gnome desktop (v3.6), 
  • New installer user interface, 
  •  language updates, 
  • Latest version of Samba 4. 

The Gnome desktop,has beeb updated to the KDE, XFCE and Sugar desktop environments. (including the MATE desktop too !)
The Language updates can be really useful for developers. The Python 3 stack has been updated from 3.2 to 3.3. The update also includes moving to Perl 5.16 and Rails 3.2, OpenStack has been updated to Folsom, the Eucalyptus 3.1 IaaS platform is now available.  and a refresh of D and Haskell programming environments. 

In conclusion, the latest version of Samba 4 can now be used on an Active Directory domain.

The final release of Fedora 18 will be available later in the year but, people who are interested can test the beta version clicking here and see it by themselves.
