DirectX 11.1 available only for Windows 8.

Microsoft announced that the new version of directX (11.1)  will only be available for the windows 8 platform.

As DirectX 11 was first made on Windows Vista, the new enhanced version will not be available even for Windows 7. According to facts there are no plans to do so in the mean time. Modification of the new version to be supported on previous OS, might be possible but we hope that Microsoft will change mind !
